In 2014 our family thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail and did a video series of the trip, as we went. By the time it was complete we had a 24 part video series documenting the trip, with its highs, lows, and everything in between. As you may (or may not) be aware, that adventure was where the concept for Outsideways was born.
Up until recently, the only way to watch the series was to purchase or rent it on Vimeo. I am very pleased to announce that the entire series is now being released for free on YouTube! As of this writing, two episodes are now live, and the remaining episodes will be released over the next several months on a weekly basis, one every Friday afternoon.
To be completely honest, we are doing this as a marketing campaign for Outsideways. A few weeks ago Renee and I filmed a short video ad that we have tacked on to the beginning of each episode. It is our hope that adventurous people who find our videos will hear about the cool stuff we are doing here and come crash the party.
If you are reading this update, chances are that you already know about Outsideways. You can help us spread the word by telling everyone you think might be interested about our video series. The more people we get watching the videos, the more it will help to build the community (or so we hope!).
So... please email, Facebook, and Twitter all your followers. Encourage them to subscribe to the series and follow the story of our adventure. If you are feeling especially generous and really want to spread the word, share each video as it is released. We really appreciate your help!
