Yesterday, as some of you probably noticed, we launched a new feature: daily email updates of what is new in your feed since your last visit. Since the people/places/activities you follow may receive sporadic journal entries (let's face it, we can't always be out on an adventure), I thought it would be helpful to be notified when there is something new to see. It is a feature I wanted, so I figured I can't be the only one who sees value in this.
Every morning the system checks to see if there is something new in your feed. If there is something new, it sends you an email message with a summary of the latest journal entries. It will only send you a summary of the new items in your feed since your last visit, or since the last summary that was sent. Even though the process runs daily, it will not send you a message if there is nothing new. This should keep email to an acceptable level, and ensure you are only notified of stuff you haven't seen.
The goal here is to keep you up-to-date without being annoying. If you do not wish to receive these notifications, you can unsubscribe from them by clicking in the unsubscribe link in the bottom of the message. Alternatively, you can unsubscribe from those notifications (and any others) by logging-in and going to the notifications settings page.
I am always open to ideas! If you would like to see these notifications changed in any way, or have suggestions for other features, don't hesitate to get in touch. Leave a comment, or contact us and let us know.

I get a lot of stuff in my inbox but I would gladly replace one or more of those updates to get an email update from Outsideways! Sounds like a good idea to me!
Great, glad to hear that you like it!
