I've been bicycling for a couple years, and solo trail hiking for about a year. Since February, I've participated with the Lonestar Hiking Trail club on their group hikes. Last year I had my first overnight backpacking trip with an overweight pack that like ta' killed me. This year I'm starting with a pack that is as light as possible, have broken-in hiking shoes, a hammock, and Ibuprofin for my hip joints. I'm ready to rock n roll!
