The Bruce Trail (https://brucetrail.org/pages/explore-the-trail) has been of interest to me since my son Brad moved to Ontario about 20 years ago. He joined me in trekking my initial footprints on this 890KM trail.
A hot Sunday afternoon 'hike' through the 'Jardin botanique' Montreal, QC with @Celine. A spontaneous plan - to spend a couple hours meandering through several of the cultural and thematic gardens - showcased so much botanical diversity and beauty I'm sure I'll be making return visits.
How many varieties of peonies are there?! I don't know - but in my view this particular one is designed especially unusual and classically simple. For me, this botanical hike was filled with awe and appreciation - again - for the wonders and gifts of nature and our Creator.
Hirtle’s Beach, favourite ocean-hike close to home, today with @hammerhead. Heavy downpours last night washed out this beach section -water from the lagoon now gushing into the Atlantic. Power of nature!
Stopped for snack and warm tea at Refuge la Chouette, Mont Sourire with @reneetougas, @celine, @toesalad - my family who've inspired me in my passion for hiking!
