I am excited to follow this! We did our AT thru-hike in 2014, it will be cool to re-live that again through someone else's eyes.

Thanks! I would like to be able to post more than one photo for a journal entry but this is good too. Thanks so much for doing this! So great that you hiked with your kids! I wish my family was interested...

Journals are not designed to be like blog posts. Think of them more like a stream of consciousness. My recommendation is to do a bunch of small posts as you go (multiple per day if you like), either photos with a caption or short excerpts of text. It is much more sustainable to do that while on that trail than preparing long posts with multiple paragraphs and photos.

For a good example of this kind of journalling, check out @Guthook's journal he did for his UK walk in 2017.
