We were in a tent (BD Mid). It's late in the season and the snow is getting soft (plus it only froze one of the 2 nights we were out) and a tent is just safer and easier. We could hear so much snowmelt running off the rocks it sounded like we were camped next to a creek.
In Desolation Wilderness (Western side of Lake Tahoe in CA) near Mosquito Pass at about 8300ft elevation looking south over Lake Aloha. The image I tried to upload was a panorama (8434x2444) and captured the scenery better but it looks like it got cropped to display.
Hmmm... OK, I have designed the site to use fixed aspect ratios for posts, but I could maintain the existing aspect ratio to capture photos like that. Let me see what I can do :-)
