Kokodama pass had wildflowers for days.
The climb, although it was just over 3000ft, was well paced and manageable,
and there were many spots to enjoy the view. We all climbed it much faster
than we thought, just because it was so nice and steady. The valleys just
below Searle pass in both directions really took my breath away in
particular (and not because of the altitude!!).
There was a cabin near the top of the valley there that left me pining for
a rainy winters day next to a log fire, but when I get to come out and hike
everyday I really don't have too many legitimate complaints!

Hey you guys!
Loving catching up on your posts now we're back from the Via Alpina. Can feel some of your pain.... We were lucky to have no rain to hike in, & only a bit of snow. One pass closed and one no visibility so we had to turn back. RL insisted on trying to find the marker but when I couldn't see him any more & we were communicating only by voice to keep focus, I called him back! Two hours later we were in the valley at a café having coffee & strudel! Amazing!
Keep on one step at a time :-)
@slushoz amazing! We have been so, so lucky with the weather so far. This section we are coming into now, the Wyoming basin, is gonna be hot and hard slog, but really we haven't had anything nearly as bad as that sounded!
