In retrospect - do you think you were okay with how you handled the rain? :) Hopefully your gear didn't get wet.

We were happy we took a calculated “risk” in our decision making. The route was straightforward and provided lots of places we could have pulled out and sheltered. The heaviest rainfall was right at midday and tapering toward late afternoon so we knew we’d get dry before bed.

The scariest part for me was a gnarly section of gusty waves in a lake. I was freakin’ out! We got down on our knees for more stability but didn’t have a pad. I bruised my knees from that section. It didn’t last very long but it was scary!
