Me thinks that you may not even fully understand why you are out there when you cross over into Canada either. You will just be a different person than when you started :-)

Your last paragraph reminds me of getting started on the PCT. The two days before I started, I was an absolute wreck. My stress levels were insanely high. Within an hour of getting on the trail, all that disappeared. The only times I felt stress on my thru hike were in towns. Good luck!

@pathfinder I was so freaked out before the JMT that my gut was whacked for a week into the hike. I can't imagine what it will be like stepping onto the bus and during my ride to the border!
