Brier Island NS. Started at Northern Lighthouse, Seal Cove- but didn’t see any seals!

Sandy Cove, NS. near Whale Cove campground where 3 of us shared a rent-a-tent - which would have been great if one of the double air mattresses wouldn’t have leaked!

This alcove had a natural altar built into it. The hike organizer called this a Sand and Seacaves Hike - rightly so .

My view sitting in the farthest corner in the deepest cave we saw. We had to hang out in this area (within this view) for extra half hour to wait for the tide to go out so we get around the corner to the next beach.

Hiking with friends near Port Lorne on Bay of Fundy side of NS. Walked on trail through trees and grass to get to the beach - pants tucked into socks kept most of the ticks off me!

I highly recommend this trail. In 2017, with two other couples, we overnighted at the Chain Lake campsite: spots are on a first-come basis. And free-of-charge! Plenty of water available, especially after a day of rain: a detail to check out prior to going if mobility-walking through water could be a problem. This year we booked a Bed and Breakfast in Economy, NS, minutes away from the trailhead for an early start, to carry a light pack and make this a doable day hike.

These are the Powerful Biscotti Bars I made for this hike - travelled really well in a backpack and didn't get soft/gooey like home-made energy bars sometimes do. (A nice reminder of the days when I used to bake and eat the sweeter variety of biscotti.)
