This is a work-cation and today is @toesalad first of four “vacation” days.

I’m still working today and have a class tonight. Tomorrow will be the start of my “vacation” days.

Coming home to the cabin at winter dusk.

The end of another workday and I went for a trail near the cabin. Found a snowmobile trail through the woods and multiple paths in the side of the mountain, right off route 371

This is the day we got locked in the cabin till noon. The metal door froze shut and we couldn’t open it till the day had warmed a bit.

Then @toesalas fell in the lake while snowshoeing!

He figures he walked on a soft spot in the ice right over top where a property’s grey water is emptied into the lake, because other parts of the lake are frozen solid!

It was very fluke. Hoping for a more uneventful day tomorrow.

End of day

A very cold late winter day. Temperature is about -20c today.

Today is a work day for both of us so this is our lunchtime exercise.

Returning to the chalet after taking a walk around the lake. The lake doesn’t have its own name that I can find but it’s part of Les Trois Petits Lake just off Avenue Tewksbury.
