When the tide is up and the sun is out, the water is such a beautiful turquoise. I also just love the different Thai boats we see wherever we go around Thailand, especially the wooden long tails.

Plenty of work on our van and a short walk later in the afternoon.

Great conversation with Karyl and got caught up on all about her trip out here to see me off.

Found out Willow will not be joining us on the PCT. Her business is being sold as of this coming Thursday and she is accepted into a spiritual retreat center in Utah. She acknowledged me for getting her to this point and thanked me.

Today @reneetougas and I went out for a short urban hike to explore an area around Mont-Royal neither of us had been yet: the cemeteries. Mont-Royal, a large park in the middle of Montreal with tons of trails for hiking and running, has more of it's surface covered by burial plots than parks.

Hiking through the Granite Dells here in Prescott this morning after a great omelette at Saint Michaels hotel downtown Prescott.

More work on the solar panels to be installed on the van. Got all the wiring organized to connect the panels together and to run down into the van to com to the charge controller.

Repackaged the new delivery of Hawk Vittles meals into vacuumed sealed bags. These were put 8nto the box going to Kennedy Meadows box and the Isabella box.

Nice chat with Brenda today a hiking buddy. Connecting with Karyl tomorrow.

Managed a swift 4 mile hike today out behind the house. More organizing resupply boxes and making notes on ETA and when to mail.

More work on the van insulation and solar panels.

Had a great evening of conversation with Kurt up at The Raven Cafe. Great food and beer.

Day organizing supply packages and setting up a dry run with the solar panels on the van roof to see what cables I might be missing. No hiking today.

Really nice conversation with Karyl. She seems to really miss me and really able express her feelings and emotions more so than in the past.

Day spent organizing pack and taking a practice hike. No issues with my body. I feel I am getting stronger. I ran into a young man Jackson that lives here in Prescott on Trail today. He too is hiking the PCT starting on May 17th. He was carrying his pack and seemed to be excited about his start.

I did a short fast hike and really pushed the climbs.

Further insulation work on the van after I bought a new bundle of insulation at Lowes. Kurt had a client meeting in the morning and I worked on the van. After lunch I help mKurt install a washer/dryer at a clients house. Lots of good connection time with my brother-in-law. Getting to know him and hopefully providing some others points of view to his world without being uncomfortable. I am pleased.

Too a break from hiking today. Starting to make plans to get off trail and get to Ashley and Fred’s house for her birthday in May.
