Beautiful views of the Bigelows bring back many all-season memories of this place.

This weekend we went to Maine for our third time this winter. Maine never ceases to disappoint, and always leaves us a little homesick for the era of our family history when we lived in this beautiful state.

This proud “canadienne” (aka @celine) is all smiles thanks to lots of puffy white snow, pleasant weather, and the prospect of some slip sliding fun.

The conditions are ripe for a fantastic day of skiing tomorrow.

There is nothing like being able to head out your back door and go for a post-work ski.

Carpet testing my new winter shelter - a Black Diamond Eldorado. If you look closely by the front door you will also see my new winter stove - a MSR Reactor. Now all that is left to save for is a sleeping bag and a pad. If all goes according to plan, there should be some winter trips in my future, starting next year!

On our way back home, we pulled over at a side road to switch drivers and discovered a free-flowing roadside spring.
