Sunrise from lookout at Theron Dean Shelter. The triangle shaped peak in the middle of the frame is Camel's Hump - tomorrow’s peak. Our goal for tonight is to get to Montclair Glen Lodge just before that triangle.

Sunrise in the east. Clouds in the valleys. Good morning Vermont.

No more view just rain. And rain, rain and more rain. Curious to see how wet, muddy and slick the trail will be tomorrow...

Post supper rainy repose.

And then all those grey skies opened up into rain. So thankful to be in this warm dry shelter tonight.

Views from this shelter are amazing. Tallest peak on right hand side is camels hump. We’ll hike that in 2 days.

Lots of this on the way down to Theron Dean Shelter. Also metal ladder rungs in rock, lots of fun.

Last ski hill summit of the day. Starks Nest at the top of Mad River Glen Ski area. In the very far distance you can see the Presidential Range and Mt Washington. Easier to see in person than in this photo.

Fun place to be either summer/fall or winter.
