@hammerhead and I along with four other hikers enjoyed a 22Km trek from Falmouth to Wolfville, NS - much of the route followed an old stagecoach road (trying to visualize how 'comfortable' it would be jolting along in a stagecoach!): now used by ATV's, snowmobilers, cross-country skiers and hikers! Much of the trail was walking under a canopy. Stopped here for a snack: @hammerhead has discovered he's missing the bottom portion of one of his trekking poles, lost somewhere between here and the trunk of the car. Mourning the probable end of the lengthy relationship with this 'gear-friend :))

Spry Bay trail back to parking lot at Taylor Head provincial park parking lot/ for a hiking distance of 19K. Loved it!!!

@hammerhead - overlooking Taylor Head bay— ocean is the same colour blue as the Caribbean, but quite a bit colder!!

@hammerhead and I are discovering a new-to-us Nova Scotia hike - overlooking Taylor Head Bay, close to Sheet Harbour. Beautiful!!

The first Monday in August in Nova Scotia is a holiday called Natal Day. My husband @hammerhead and I enjoyed the afternoon hiking the Taylor Head Provincial Park Trails: starting at Bull Beach (to the far left of the map) - and then the Headland and Spry Bay Trail loop. Temperature was in the mid-20's Celsius with a bit of a breeze off the ocean - perfect!

Some of my hiking friends LOVE waterfalls so had to include this shot! This waterfall was feeding the stream flowing under "the bridge" @hammerhead constructed!

@hammerhead and I didn't see any other hikers - we were so impressed with the clear trail markings, its beauty, and obvious efforts of volunteers maintaining this trail system - which is on private property. Thank you, residents of the Black Rock Community!

Humid and heavy fog - this was as far as we could go on the Fundy shore section of the blue trail- an hour away from high tide. We will come back another time to do the whole thing.

Heavy rains the day before created a challenge: @hammerhead used his construction skills to build a bridge - I chose to take off my shoes and navigate cautiously further upstream, jabbing/digging/stabilized with my trekking poles.

July 29th @hammerhead and I searched for a new trail to hike within a couple hours from home, using https://www.alltrails.com/. The Black Rock Loop was a good choice for us, except we hadn't factored in the tide for the blue section of the hike we wanted to do.
