Day 49 - Damascus to Pond Campsite

Beautiful weather all day.

We didn't get out of town till 10am.

It was a hard day.

I was weak from being sick this weekend. And Otter wasn't feeling well. He didn't throw up but felt terrible and tired all day. Poor guy. Hiking like this is no fun.

@hammerhead had a hard day on the trail also. I was surprised at this and so was he. The last mile was especially tiring for my parents.

We made camp at a murky pond and our camp routine felt hectic and a bit strange with two extra people. We'll adjust. It was a day of adjustments that's for sure.

Kids went to bed early tonight. Padawan was quite withdrawn the whole day, tired out from all the people this weekend perhaps, and took every spare minute to escape into her book.

My mom @karentogo brought these dried berries to share. What a treat.
