This is our home day hiking area, with the nearest trailhead access just a few miles from our house in Laramie. We hike here for a couple hours on most days.

Our favorite parts of the Laramie Range are it’s aspen tree groves, feldspar-rich Sherman granite, and the rock formations that make up the famous Vedaewoo hoodoos - one of the world’s premiere rock climbing destinations.

First hike of 2018.

Today’s hike was short - a 45 minute late afternoon saunter since Stephanie is recovering from a cold - a 1.3 mile loop out of Blair.

Temps about 30, blue sky, no wind, and a packed snowy trail.
