Judd Trail off Pali Drive on Oahu. A rainy day kid friendly 'hike'. Did it recently but just now getting to post. Just under 1 mile, about 1 if you include a dip in ginger falls (recommended unless rainy conditions - heed flash flood warnings as they happen). We look for hikes that our 2 yr old can do. We do pack hikes with him as well but like to encourage independent hiking! Typically the criteria is a varied terrain, water, views, mud and single track trail. Bonus if there are are wild "berries" to pick and throw down a slope. The key for them is to keep it interesting and in a loop. The more curious they are the more they seem motivated to find out what is around the next bend. The Judd Trail is perfect for that! Bug spray and water shoes a must. Takes no time at all with the 4yr old but the 2yr old loves to explore everything! Good after school hike or visiting relatives hike. Great shade cover.
