Eating supper at the water makes sure our camp gear and sleeping area, at Wallface Lean-To, doesn't smell like food (and attract bear and vermin). And it's also a more pleasant and light filled place to eat (and clean-up) than the dark wood shelter. Not to mention, you don't have to haul any water, for cooking or washing, you just scoop from the brook.
