A week after our first foray on the Rivière des Mille Îles we return with the kids for a paddle at Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles.
We paid for park access and rented a second canoe for @mypictograph and @briennetougas to use.
It was our Father’s Day outing. It was wicked hot day and being in the water didn’t offer a lot of relief.
I was bummed we couldn’t find any decent places to swim. Made me long for the mountains. Then I remembered: bug season. This is the height of bug season and staying urban worked for the time window we had.
One thing we’ve learned with our urban paddling, there are some really big houses in Montreal & Laval.
This park is nice for day outing but my heart longs for more wild spaces.
