On the drive out of Berkeley we had a long drive along the coast, and it was some of the most beautiful views I saw on the entire trip.

The cactus, spiky but beautiful.

The climate and and plant life are very different from my home in Montreal, I tired to capture the beautiful colours and light. I have done two other drawings of the plant life of California that I will be posting soon.

The docks have these really pretty lights that only turn on at night, and I love the reflections they have on the bay water.

A softly rocking sail boat is great inspiration for art, so here is a digital painting of the hatch to the upper deck. Me and my family are staying in a sail boat in San Francisco bay, for the next 3 weeks.

The dry heat of the Colorado mountain passes, it was an amazing 8 hour car ride from Colorado Springs to Durango, Colorado. I did this drawing in the car on the way to Durango.

one of the things I have found most inspiring in Colorado has bean the spectacular clouds, they are hard to miss and tower above even the highest mountains.

I did not have a reference image for this, but I spent a couple hours in the Garden of the Gods park. It has these beautiful monolithic sandstone mountains that are pin priced with holes and caves that are populated with birds.
