A week and half is just as wonderfully abstract as 4 months. What even is a week and a half, anyways? It's probably a lot of time.
Can you tell that I'm a habitual procrastinator?
I'm waiting on the last of my gear to arrive in the mail. I'm getting together for the last couple of times with my friends. On Friday my work is going to order pizza for my last day and I'm going to get my hair cut short. I have one last test to finish for Geometry, which I could have finished weeks ago but I haven't. I need to empty out my car and clean my room, turn off my computer and make sure my headlamp and external battery are charged. I need to figure out how much effort I'm going to put into sending any resupply boxes. I need to download a movie from Netflix for the long bus ride down to San Diego. I need to write a bio for a photography print that someone is buying from me. I need to go for more walks. I need to delete all of the old JMT pictures from my phone.
I need, I need. I need to start walking.

Oh man, I am waiting in anticipation for you on this! Very excited to follow along on this journey!
I'm savoring every last minute with you before you go on your adventure.
You do, my girl, need to start walking. When we finally started the AT after all our months of preparations it was SUCH a relief. I am anticipating that feeling for you. Whatever didn't get done, doesn't get done and you're on the trail.
I laughed that you are down to one and a half weeks and you "need to figure out how much effort I'm going to put into sending any resupply boxes". I'm guessing at this point it won't be a ton of effort.
You're going to be great. However it works out for you. How ever many miles you complete, how far you get, you will not come back the same :)
And I like what @kyndale says.
As someone who has been there before, try not to worry about all the things you "need" to do. Once on the trail, they won't matter. You will find a way to get everything done you actually need to get done and everything else truly doesn't matter. Good luck.

@toesalad I am too!
@kyndale ♥
Super stoked for you!
@reneetougas now that I don't have any more school or work responsibilities I feel a lot less stressed. I'm sure it's all going to ramp up again the day or two before... I'm only planning on sending boxes to 3 places, mostly just snow gear/maps and some food to supplement what's there to buy. So, you're right, not much effort involved. :D
@pathfinder thanks for the advice! I'm definitely taking this whole planning thing as minimally as I can. All of the people who are going crazy with the planning just stress me out...
