It looks pretty, but you don't want to stick around here too long, otherwise you become a bugs breakfast.

So far this trail is reminding me al lot of the Maine woods. That is a good thing in my books.

The first 9km of trail are in a park called Foret de Ouareau, a regional park just 1.5 hours north of Montreal. This is the same park where Brienne and I did our snowshoe trip earlier this spring. This part of the trail definitely has some of the best views so far.
