I love how varied the trail is, and almost all of it beautiful. The Long Trail is becoming a favourite of mine for the amount of sheer beauty it contains, despite the fact that it is largely just a green tunnel.
We took a shorter 8.5 mile day today, and decided to stay at Peru shelter for the night. It is a beautiful afternoon, a gorgeous brook flows in front of the camp, and it gives @reneetougas the opportunity to rest her knees and achilles tendons. All are in very good spirits.
After a night in the hotel (complete with hot tub and swimming pool), and a day of resupplying, we are back on the trail. We took of late in the day and pitched our tent 2 miles up the trail at Bromley Shelter.
