This year I got proactive about my knee issue.
I saw a physiotherapist in early summer who recommended exercises and a specific knee compression sleeve for my specific issue, a tendinitis.
I’ve been training all summer paying attention to what my therapist taught me and bought the sleeve (on the right) to wear for hiking. The white and grey sleeve is from the drug store, i picked it up last year on the Long Trail for my knee issues on that hike.
So far so good on the genutrain knee sleeve (the fancy one). My right knee is my problem knee so don’t need a fancy sleeve for the left. Not sure if I need a sleeve at all, but being cautious.
27 miles of hiking and no knee pain yet. Will see how it goes...
