Thoroughly enjoying our rest afternoon.
This has been our quietest site so far. It’s dead calm tonight. No insects, no wind, no squirrels, no loons. Just quiet.
Speaking of quiet, in 3 days we’ve only seen a handful of boats. 3 or 4 fishing boats, and 2 canoe groups. One family with multiple canoes camped .5 km from us the first night and a couple portaging yesterday.
From the vantage point our campsite which we’ve been at for 9 hours we haven’t seen any boats passing through this passage on circuit 33. Nothing. No one.
A little corner of wilderness all to ourselves.
