Despite the rain over the last couple days. there was still an opportunity for us to go for a hike before the end of the year. Back to our new favourite place (Saint-Donat) and a nice view on Cap de la Fée.

Night skiing on Boxing Day at Bromont. The ski hill was open till 2am and we stayed till 12am. Longest and latest day of hill skiing for me ever. So much fun! Merry Christmas.

The whole family joined us for our hike today - an increasingly rare, but always fun time. Today was beautiful with not overly cold temperatures and gentle snowfall for the entire day.

Getting a good camera exposure can be tricky and somehow never seems to do the scene justice.

The trail, however, can be quite stunning.

Since there was no new snow this week, we decided to hike instead of ski. The bade of snow is still fairly thin, so flotation isn’t needed. This trail is in a section of Parc National de Mont Tremblant called Pembina. The views aren’t spectacular but they are nice nonetheless.

This weekend we went back to Saint-Donat, only this time armed with skis :-)

The snow was a little thin in some places, and the rocks a little pokey in others. It was sure fun though! Lets hope the snow stay for the rest of the season. Mid November is definitely the earliest we have skied so far.
