Three generations out for a short Thanksgiving hike in Nova Scotia. Nice to be out with @celine today, as she gets older hiking with her is becoming a less frequent event.
Back at the car, our gear loaded in the back, and somewhat surprised it is already over. You know it was a good trip when:
Everyone is still smiling at the end
Everyone is already talking about when they will get out for their next overnight trip, and attempting to finish the second half of the Long Trail next year
Restaurant water tastes disgusting
@reneetougas is starting to think about “training” for higher mileage days, and... flirting with the idea of section hiking the PCT at some (undetermined) future date
There is so much history in this trail. Doug left his mark with charcoal on the underside of the shelter roof 39 years ago, and it looks like it could have been written yesterday.
