One of the few places there wasn’t an abundance of water - Greenwall shelter. The little dribble-waterfall was adequate though for my morning wash-up!

Not far from the shelter- a collection of ‘White Rocks’ cairns and ‘monuments’. Interesting and unexpected diversion in the landscape.

Met ‘Sharp Shin’- in his early 60’s living his dream to hike the Appalachian Trail: ever since he finished high school and saw some thru-hikers and determined ‘I am going to do that some day!’ Way to go!!

Day 8: Passed Griffin Lake - on our way to Greenwall shelter-nearly 15 miles of hiking fun ahead !

Three climbs later- Bromley Mtn, Styles Peak, Peru Peak- pitched tents at Peru Shelter - had a cold sit-dip in the brook(sore knees loved this!) and pulling out food bags to make supper!

So much Green everywhere- love it!! Big thanks to Green Mountain volunteer groups for the many boardwalks :)
