Mile Zero - Our first steps on the AppalachianTrail

Received our AT hiker tags (numbers 693 and 694) at the Amicalola Falls Visitor’s Center. Spending the night in the Amicalola Falls Lodge before starting northbound tomorrow morning, 10 March 2019.

Stopped for snack and warm tea at Refuge la Chouette, Mont Sourire with @reneetougas, @celine, @toesalad - my family who've inspired me in my passion for hiking!

With sunshine like today I wonder how long these huge swoops of snow will stay intact? Mont Sourire Hike, Saint Donat, QC.

I've heard great reports from @reneetougas and @toesalad about the hiking by Saint Donat, QC. On a spontaneous trip to see them I got in on a weekend Mont Sourire hike with them and @celine. About minus 3C - spectacular weather and beauty.

Boys on boards. Unfortunately, my backpack was stolen tonight from the lodge. The beautiful ski pack that Damien gave me for my birthday. So sad.
