Hiking up Falling Waters Trail to Little Haystack Mountain with approx. half the population of New England and southern Quebec. Ok not really but almost. This was the most people I’ve ever seen on one trail!
The crowded trail was a little frustrating (but we’re part of those crowds!) but still worth it.
Turns out I was right about trail popularity. This loop is one of New England's most popular hikes. https://newengland.com/today/travel/new-hampshire/white-mountains/franconia-ridge-loop/ With good reason.

The 'traffic' sounds similar to our Katahdin hike on July 21st. I checked out the link - hopefully @hammerhead and I can hike this ridge some day.
