On the weekend a friend and I seized a good-weather window to hike Green Bay to Broad Cove on Nova Scotia's south shoreline. Enjoying the lee side (sheltered side), we were gifted clear skies, silvery sharp-edged beach grasses, and the occasional splash of brilliant red. And the bonus was being able to navigate waterways by stepping on rocks rather than wading. I never tire of the ocean, its tides and shifting shorelines.
