Day 14 - A day on the Yellowstone river with @TravelingMel & family.

Day 13 - lunch at Pine Creek Lake.

Almost back to the trailhead, attempting to make good time so we can beat the nasty weather that is hot on our heels. In this picture is @celine, the third of my favourite hiking girls.

From the top of the upper falls, looking downwards towards the lower lake (or pond or whatever it is called).

Pine Creek Lake was beautiful. And cold. @mypictograph got it in his mind that he was going to attempt to swim in it. I suggested he try wading first. After about 30 seconds he was unable to feel anything below the knees, thus he decided against it.

A young couple who had camped here for the night gave us some left-over Cutthroat trout they had just caught and roasted in the coals of a nearby fire. It was some of the most delicious fish we have tasted in a long time.

Just about at Pine Creek Lake. There is a small lower lake/pond which is fed by a small waterfall from Pine Creek Lake just above it. There were quite a few people here today fishing and camping. This view gave us a good vantage point of all of the activity going on at a glance.

More picturesque views of Pine Creek. Sometimes it looks so good you almost wonder if it is fake.

The views back towards Paradise Valley are beautiful. We had great weather for the morning portion of the hike, making for good visibility.

The trail follows Pine Creek which has this uncanny way of always looking picturesque.
