Hiking on Engineer Plateau.

Today, our friends Will Rietveld and Janet Reichl took us on a day hike up to Engineer Plateau in the San Juan National forest. See the map of this journal for a GPS track of our route.

Cowboy camping on our friend's porch in Durango. The fresh mountain air was wonderful but being woken up by the neighbor's rooster at 4am, not so much.

Tonight after supper we went for a short hike at Red Rock Canyon, another beautiful park a short 15 minute drive from where we are staying. So many cool places to see around here and we are barely scratching the surface.
