While storms seemed to constantly threaten the upper elevations for the entire day, down in the valley was quite pleasant.

The West Boulder Trail follows along the West Boulder River. On a hot day (like today) there is plenty of opportunities to cool off in the water, which is numbingly cold. There seems to be a bit of a post forest fire theme happening in these Montana hikes...
