Snowshoeing

Back at the trailhead/parking lot.

Now to drive back to the city and re-enter life renewed.

This day was just literally a beautiful walk through the woods.

Took a little spur trail (not marked on any maps but blazed) up to a lookout point. We left our bags and sled back at the main trail.

Kim started with the sled and quickly warmed up!

The woods on this third day was pure magic with sky and snow.

Leaving our little refuge from everyday life. Time to hike back out.

The light was so tempting to get out of bed to witness the warm yellow through the blue hue of the snow draped evergreens. But it was cold out there, around -12c and I was so snug and warm in my sleeping bag…

Temps all day were just below zero. The show was fairly wet so we’re grateful to get all our gear dry in the cabin after a day outdoors.

At the time we went to bed - 9 pm - snow was still falling and had been falling since noon.

Kim reading the rules of go fish on her phone. Neither of us could remember and used so we used cell service to get the answers we needed.

I haven’t played a round of cards for ages. It was the perfect way to end the day.
