A holistic health coach and outdoor activity enthusiast. Kayaking, cycling, snow shoeing - and thanks to OutSideWay’s creator - back country hiking reigns as my favourite. Sharing outdoor adventures with my husband and family “fills my well” - and encouraging, coaching women in the 50+ age zone to experience the pleasures and challenges of the outdoors is my “venture-in-process”. #karentogo

On the weekend a friend and I seized a good-weather window to hike Green Bay to Broad Cove on Nova Scotia's south shoreline. Enjoying the lee side (sheltered side), we were gifted clear skies, silvery sharp-edged beach grasses, and the occasional splash of brilliant red. And the bonus was being able to navigate waterways by stepping on rocks rather than wading. I never tire of the ocean, its tides and shifting shorelines.
October 13th: an Atlantic Ocean, Nova Scotia hike from Green Bay beach to Broad Cove and back. 11K of laughter and fun conversation; navigating around and through water, unfortunately without photos to document! I will hike with these family-hikers @toesalad @hammerhead @mypictograph @celine @brienne @reneetougas pretty much every opportunity I have :)
Hiking Hirtle Beach-Gaff Point is a regular must-do on the list when @reneetougas and family come to visit. A misty day but not enough to keep us home or need to wear raincoats.
